What was appealing to you about this program or area?
Being from the Lehigh and having gone to school at Temple/St. Luke’s School of Medicine, it was my first choice to complete my residency training in the Bethlehem EM program. I knew I would receive excellent educational experiences with a diverse patient population and have supportive mentorship from our wonderful faculty and senior residents. Now in my 4th month of residency, my experience in the program has exceeded expectations.

What was appealing to you about this program or area? Being from a small PA town, I was familiar with the Lehigh Valley and enjoyed how much it has to offer without having the downside of living in a big city. From the day I interviewed at St Luke’s, it felt like “home.” Since starting residency, I have felt an overwhelming amount of support from my co-residents and faculty members both on and off service rotations. The camaraderie at this program and within the emergency department as a whole is truly second to none so much that residents from other specialties have made comments about how “fun” and “close” our program is.

What was appealing to you about this program or area? Being from the area, I knew how much I liked having a mix of restaurants/things to do indoors while still having plenty of access to outdoor activities, especially mountain biking. I also went to medical school here, so I knew how friendly everyone was in the program and knew that they would provide me with a good education.
